2021 Conference

Overview

To celebrate the successful launch of the MWHN in 2019 and the coming together of over 100 MWH researchers in the field from around the world, the first Network Conference was hosted by the Humanities Institute, UCD Dublin in June 2021 (postponed from in-person in 2020). Over a dozen member-speakers, including two keynotes, partook in the event, which was supported by several small funding donations. This event was open to all MWHN members and facilitate through Zoom.

A selection of the conference’s papers and keynotes were invited to contribute to a special issue of War & Society, edited by Dr Paul Huddie and Network member Dr Amy Carney. Full details here.

Hosting and Funding

This event, which was initially planned to take place in-person in 2020, was kindly hosted by the UCD Humanities Institure (in Ireland) and financially supported by:
